Description
The following error occurs during installation of Toad for Oracle:
The installation of component Toad_Data_Analysis has failed.
Products affected by this failure are;
Toad for Data Analysts
500 (or 200)
The installation will now abort. -
Resolution
Re-run the Toad for Oracle installer again and uncheck Toad for Data Analysts as one of the products to be installed. Continue with the installation of Toad for Oracle and its other components with the exception of Toad for Data Analysts.
Next, try the two resolutions below to install Toad for Data Analysts by itself.
WORKAROUND 1:
1. Go to https://support.quest.com/SUPPORT/index?page=downloads and login to SupportLink.
2. Click on "Download and Updates" on the left hand side.
3. Type "Toad" and select "Toad for Data Analysts" from product drop down and then click "Go".
4. Download "Toad for Data Analysts 2.5 Installer".
5. Double-click on the downloaded installer file to run the installation.WORKAROUND 2:
1. Go to https://support.quest.com/SUPPORT/index?page=downloads and login to SupportLink.
2. Click on "Download and Updates" on the left hand side.
3. Type "Toad" and select "Toad for Data Analysts" from product drop down and then click "Go".
4. Download "Toad for Data Analysts 2.5 .MSI Installer".
5. Double-click on this MSI file to run the installation.
