Executing a query against Amazon Redshift database, never returns results. (4308416)

Connected to an Amazon Redshift database and can see all the objects in the Object Explorer. However, when a simple query is run e.g. select * from tablename, the results never return. This is also the case when trying to view data from the Object Explorer | Table | Data tab. The status bar looks like it's running, but the results never return. This happens regardless of the table row count.

Using the same Amazon Redshift ODBC driver, on version 3.8, returns results as expected.
