Windows credential fails with "The service cannot be started...(0x80070422)" (4308178)

The following message occurs in the Foglight database agent log when attempting to access a remote Windows host.

"Could not connect to 192.168.0.1: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has not enabled devices associated with it. (0x80070422)"

Verify Windows Management Instrumentation service is running

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type services.msc and press <enter>. This will open the Services window
4. Scroll down to Windows Management Instrumentation service.
5. Right click on the service
6. Verify that the service is started and set to Automatic.
7. Click OK
