How to set Toad to "Read-Only" version so that a user cannot edit or add data to tables in the database.

Resolution
To set Toad in read-only mode and also prevent running Insert, Update, and Delete statements:
1. Fully Exit Toad.2. Navigate to the Toad installation directory, by default "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle".3. Locate the "toad.lic" file and rename it to "toad_FULL.lic".4. Perform a Copy on the "readonly.lic" file, and then perform a Paste in the same directory. You will now have a new "Copy of readonly.lic" file in the same directory.5. Rename this new "Copy of readonly.lic" file to "toad.lic".6. Launch Toad, notice that the bottom left displays "Read-Only". -
Additional Information
The Toad for Oracle READONLY Installer will also make PL/SQL code i.e. procedures, packages, etc in Read-Only mode and will not allow user to compile it.
