State directory gets filled up with lot of files with lob in the filename.

User will notice that vardir/state directory on the source system contains a lot of files with the following naming convention. This can cause vardir to get filled up:
o.<sourcesid>-lob4008103.a
o.<sourcesid>-lob4008102.a
o.<sourcesid>-lob4008105.b
o.<sourcesid>-lob4008105.a

These files are lob cache files. The lob cache file issue in thestate directory is related to inability of Shareplex to cleanup in version 3.2, 4.0, and 4.5 versions of Shareplex.

FIX:

This issue is fixed in Shareplex version 5.0.1

WORKAROUND:

If the disk space where the vardir resides is getting full due to these files, following workaround can be implemented:


1. Shutdown Shareplex
2. Restart Shareplex - To force Checkpoint
3. Shutdown Shareplex
4. remove all *lob* files except the ones created that day.
PLEASE: make sure that shareplex is shutdown when you delete the files.
