Export DDL from ER Diagram (.erx) produces no results. -
Description
On opening an ER Diagram (.erx extension), then using the Export DDL button, no script is produced. There are no error messages. When choosing send to file, screen, or Clipboard, nothing is produced. -
Cause
Toad will only produce a DDL script if the schema and objects exist in the database that is currently connected. -
Resolution
Connect to the database where the ER Diagram was originally created. A DDL Script will be produced which can be subsequently amended if using to create objects in another database.
OR
Connect to original database and use Database | Export | Generate Schema Script.
