The Desktop Authority Manager only needs to be installed to a single server on a domain. In order to remotely use the manager, there is no need for a separate installation or to run terminal services. Simply create a shortcut to the Manager executable and launch it from any computer or, configure an entry within Desktop Authority to automatically create the shortcut by applying the steps below:
Create a Shortcut element to create a shortcut of the Desktop Authority Manager console:
1. Open Desktop Authority Manager and select
Profiles| User Management Profiles| ProfileName |Shortcuts.
2. Create a new element.
3. Configure the new element with the settings shown in Figure 1:

Note: The "\\Servername" would be the server where you have the Desktop Authority Manager installed.
4. On the Validation Logic tab configure the appropriate rules. Configure the validation logic of this shortcut element to only be created for members of your IT staff.
