How to black list an ESX Host/Virtual Machine (4303795)

It is a requirement to stop data collection for particular VMware objects, for example, ESX hosts and/or VMs. Is it possible to deny list these objects using Foglight?

The Black List tab is used to manage blacklists for VMs and ESX Hosts.

1. From the Foglight console, navigate to VMware > VMware Environment > Administration > Black List

   

2. Click the Add button, choose the VMs and ESX hosts that need to be added to the black list then Save to apply.

Note: The agent black list in the Agent Status Properties should only be populated by the VMware Performance Agent.
