Description
After installing Toad and launching SQL Optimizer from within Toad, the following message is given.
"The SQL Tuning module is not installed on this machine. The Tuning options will be disabled."

Cause
If running an install of Toad for Oracle through the msi or choosing to 'Extract the MSI installer only' from the full exe install file, the only product that is installed is Toad for Oracle.
SQL Tuning/SQL Optimizer are seperate applications and work through a seperate installer.

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Go to Support Portal and download the standalone installer of SQL Optimizer for Oracle. Install just Optimizer using this install file.WORKAROUND:
Go back to the Toad for Oracle installer, launch the exe and choose to install SQL Optimizer also. Or if the msi is needed, run through the directions for extracting the msi (refer to the Toad installation guide), and choose to extract the Optimizer msi. Then run the msi for SQL Optimizer

Additional Information
This applies to various versions on Toad and Optimizer. In older versions of Toad, the tuning and optimizing software was called SQL Tuning and the install is located in the Toad for Oracle installation directory, Tuning Lab folder. Run TOADSQLTuning.exe
