Start SQL Tracker and when user clicks on the green Play icon, he gets the error:
"Failed to create remote thread; error=5 (Access is denied.)"
RESOLUTION 1:
Try running SQL Tracker using ‘Run as Administrator’. Steps are click your Windows 10 Search button, and type / search for ‘SQL Tracker’. Then right-click ‘SQL Tracker’ and choose ‘Run as Administrator’. Re-test if the issue will be resolved.
RESOLUTION 2:
The ‘Access is denied’ error could be caused by firewall, network security policies, or antivirus blocking SQL Tracker from monitoring other apps like ‘Toad.exe’. Please contact your IT or Helpdesk people and see if they can add the SQL Tracker executable program to the whitelist or trusted applications.
The location is here:
C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle 2018 R2 Edition\Toad for Oracle 13.1\SQLTracker
And the file name of the SQL Tracker executable is ‘sqldbmon.exe’.
Per one customer report, their Antivirus was blocking SQL Tracker. Their IT people made adjustments and fixed the issue.
