Toad for Data Analysts versions prior to 2.0:
To connect to Sybase you must create an ODBC Data Source. First you must have Sybase's ASE 12.5.4 drivers installed. Configure your driver as necessary in Window's ODBC Data Source Administration utility.
After it has been set up, you should be able to launch Toad for Data Analysis and when creating a new connection in the connection manager, select the group "ODBC" and then select your Sybase driver. Then enter your user name and password.
Note that Toad for Data Analysis versions prior to 2.0 have only been limitedly tested with Sybase and only with ASE 12.5.4.Toad for Data Analysts versions 2.0 and above:
Toad supports native and ODBC connectivity to Sybase 12.5 and 15.0.2 databases.
