When trying to access the Desktop Authority management console on the Desktop Authority server the user receives an “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” even though the server has internet access.
The “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” will be generated when trying to access the Desktop Authority console due to the Internet Information Services binding for the Default website missing the Desktop Authority Self signed certificate.
On the server were Desktop Authority is installed open the Internet Information Services located under the administrative tools. Select Sites, highlight the default website and access the bindings by performing a right click on the site. Select the Binding option to bring up the site bindings for the default website. Highlight the https type and click edit to modify the properties. From the SSL certificate drop down select the Desktop Authority Self signed certificate. Once the certificate has been selected restart the Internet Information Services.
