Excerpt from User Guide:
Interrupting the Update Process
If you interrupt the resource update process by clicking Cancel or stopping the service, or if re-permissioning is stopped due to an error, Resource Updating Manager acts as follows:
. If you click Cancel during permission update, computers that are being processed at that moment will be processed to the end and objects on these computers will have new (target) permissions. Computers that are not being processed yet will not be processed and objects on these computers will keep old permissions. If you want to completely restore the system state, run Resource Updating Manager with the Revert to the original local group membership, user rights, and object permissions option.
. If you click Cancel while reverting changes, computers that are being processed at that moment will be processed to the end and objects on these computers will have source permissions. Computers that are not being processed yet will not be processed and objects on these computers will keep target permissions. If you want to restore the system state, run Resource Updating Manager with the Reassign local group membership, user rights, and object permissions to target users option.
. If you click Cancel during permission cleanup, computers that are being processed at that moment will be processed to the end and permissions of the objects on these computers will be cleaned up. Computers not being processed yet will not be processed and objects on these computers will be left intact.
