What does VMW Stale Data Management Rule do? -
Cause
Removal of Stale objects that are still present in Foglight Database but do not exist anymore in the vCenter. -
Resolution
Beginning with version 7.x, "VMW Stale Data Management" rule was implemented, by default it is disabled, in order to have it working, you must enable it.
Enabling this rule will delete VMware objects (VMs, disks, and all other included in the script) that are not updates for x days.In VMW Stale Data Management rule you can set the stale days variable to 7 (one week) or leave it as default (30 days). This rule will run at 12:00AM every day by default but a custom schedule canbe assigned as well in order to run it at a specifc day/time.The latest version of Foglight can be downloaded at:
