Error “503 page unavailable” (4293994)

You receive the following error messages when opening archived message in Outlook or OWA

Error: “503 page unavailable” when opening archived messages

or

• Application Pools are stopped
• Password for the SuperUser was recently reset and needs to be updated for the Application Pools

To resolve this issue, we can try the following:

• Open the IIS Management console on the archive server
• Expand the main tree and navigate to the Application Pools section

• Check for any stopped Application Pools, right-click and select the advanced settings

• Update/refresh the password

• Once you have updated the password for all the stopped Application Pools, you can proceed to start them
