"Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component"
Description:
Get "Error 1315.Unable to write to the specified folder" when uninstalling my version of erwin to install a newer or different version of erwin. Why?
Solution:
It is most likely privileges related. Please log into Windows with an elevated account. In our test, we were then able to uninstall the r9.5 version of erwin.
When installing r9.7 erwin DM while running as administrator, we ran into this error:
Error 1905. Module EAL.dll failed to unregister. HRESULT -2147220472. Contact your support personnel.
That problem was the result of a badly configured .net. We uninstalled .net 4.5.2 that was on the system and tried again.
Then we ran into this last error:
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component
The way we resolved that problem was by rebooting the windows machine, logging back in as the elevated account, and finally, we could install r9.7 as administrator. We then applied the license and erwin r9.7 ran.
