Description
After the Migration Wizard completes on the progress tab and changes to the Finish tab this message is displayed in the details pane. "The located assembly's manifest definition with name 'ViewMigrationSession' does not match the assembly reference." The only option is the cancel button. Once cancelled the migration session shows the green check mark for a successful migration and objects have been migrated successfully. -
Cause
This is caused by downgrading the QMM install to a previous version. It has been confirmed by development that the downgrade of QMM doesn't work properly, because QMM doesn't update policies in .NET if there are policies from a newer version of the product. -
Resolution
1) Uninstalled QMM and DSA on problem machine2) Renamed folders from the original install left by the uninstall3) Delete cached policies in .NET Configurator. To launch the Configurator click Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 Configuration4) Install QMM again.
