This solution addresses the issue when you get an error 'Cannot update license' applying license file for Quest MessageStats Report Pack for BlackBerry.
You may have this issue if the following conditions are met: * MessageStats database is on remote SQL server. * You have used SQL scripts BlackBerry.sql and BlackBerryReport.sql to update MessageStats database.
To resolve this issue, you need to run MessageStats on QMS application server, and enter the remote SQL server name where the MessageStats database is located, when the installer prompts you for it. The only requirement is that the account that you are using to run the installer must have the DB_Owner permissions to create tables in the MessageStats database. After installer has run successfully, apply your license file for Quest MessageStats Report Pack for BlackBerry again.
