ORA-12571 TNS Packet Writer Failure when Toad left idle after upgrading to v 9.0.0.160 -
Description
User connects to database using Toad for Oracle v9.0.0.1. User leaves the session idle and then gets ORA-12571 TNS Packet Writer Failure followed by access violations. -
Cause
Toad v9.0.0 is not a stable release and it no longer available for download. -
Resolution
Install Toad for Oracle v9.0.1. The current version installed (v9.0.0.1) is no longer supported. If this does not resolve your issue please reference Solution 25046 https://support.quest.com/SUPPORT/index?page=solution&id=SOL25046&pmv=true
