Oracle Long Long Running alarm did not fire multiple times -
Description
Multiple long locks were experienced within a fifteen minute period on an Oracle instance but only one long lock alarm was fired in Foglight for the period.
Is there currently a way to change the functionality to alert for each session that is blocking?
e.g. If three sessions block consecutively then they’d receive three alarms in a row without clearing.

Cause
The user should receive the alarm the first time and unless the severity changes (in this case it did not), so the alarm would not be raised again until cleared.

Resolution
With the alarm having fired the first time, it appears to have functioned correctly.
A custom rule can be created that will fire an alarm each time there's a lock which exceed the threshold.
It is not recommended to change the implementation of the rule, as if there's just one lock which started at 10:00, then every time data is being collected (which is 1 minute) a new alarm would be raised. For example if the lock lasts for 10 minutes and the threshold is 90 seconds, then there would be 8-9 alarms about it.
