Explain Plan window is covering whole Editor Window text area, and I cannot type or save in it. We have several users in a Citrix environment.
Under Citrix environment for Toad for Oracle 9.1, one user has a really big LCD monitor and extended the Explain Plan window beyond the limits of smaller LCD screens of other users. This resulted in other users seeing the Explain Plan window over lapping the Editor text area.
Toad for Oracle 9.7 and higher now saves user settings separately so each Citrix user will now not affect other user's Toad settings and usage settings.
Reset the Toad Windows Layout user files.
1) Have your ALL your Citrix users Full Exit Toad for Oracle v9.1
2) Go to C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files
3) Rename the following files:
a) EditorLayout_Hex.lay to EditorLayout_Hex.lay.OLD
b) EditorLayout_PLSQL.lay to EditorLayout_PLSQL.lay.OLD
d) EditorLayout_SQL.lay to EditorLayout_SQL.lay.OLD
d) EditorLayout_Text.lay to EditorLayout_Text.lay.OLD
e) EditorLayout_XML.lay to EditorLayout_XML.lay.OLD
f) MainFormLayout_default.lay to MainFormLayout_default.lay.OLD
4) Start Toad and re-test the issue
For Toad for Oracle 11.5, rename the following files:
