Description
The following error message is encountered when adding a SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) database agent in Foglight
Failed to monitoring HOSTNAME
Error occurred while trying to connect to Analysis ServicesSuggestions:
- Please make sure that the .NET version is at least 3.5
The following error messages appear in the SQL Server installer agent log when attempting to add a SSAS agent.
Error on SSAS process execution, .net insufficient exceptionError during SsasMonitoring Start -
Cause
Monitoring Analysis services is supported only on Agent Managers running on Windows which must have a version of .NET 3.5 installed. -
Resolution
Install .NET version 3.5 on the Foglight Agent Manager where the database agent is added.(it must include .NET 3.5 specifically, higher versions of .NET are not directly compatible for this purpose).
