The login script or process that starts LWPreloader is not running and workstation information is not being populated into the Asset Manager console. The process can be run manually by opening a command prompt and running: “\\SLAMServername\SLAMClient\LWPreloader.exe http://SLAMServername/SLAMClientRequestHandler” without quotes and a space between both commands.
Running this command manually returns an error “There is a time and/or date difference between the client and server”.
The server that hosts the Asset Manager console has a date or time that does not match that of the client workstation running the process. This prevents LWClient.exe from running on the workstation to collect information to send to the Asset Manager console.
Check both machines and correct the time so that they are in sync. Once this is complete, run the command and the “Preloader starting…” should appear. Open the Task Manager on the client workstation. The LWClient.exe should now appear in the Processes. The login script or method used to start the process should now work as it was intended, allowing information to be sent to the Asset Manager console.
