Disabling email notifications for Infrastructure Cartridge rules when using Notification channels along with Alarm templates.
Adding the -Dserver.notification_channel.suppress_email_action=true JVM parameter to server.config file doesn't supress emailAction calls from Infrastructure rules.
-Dserver.notification_channel.suppress_email_action=true JVM parameter only applies to cartridges that use an event driven rule to process alarms and to send emails.
RESOLUTION
For Foglight 7.3.0 and higher releases, the JVM parameter -Dserver.notification_channel.suppress_email_action=true can be used to supress the alarms.
WORKAROUND
Clear the contents of the SYSADMIN and mail.recipient registry variables.
STATUS
This issue has been logged as defect FOG-8230 and fixed in the 7.3.0 release of Foglight.
