Issues upgrading to 6.5 - Installer cannot use current QAM\Pass, please validate connection -
Description
When upgrading the collector from 6.0 to 6.5 I receive the message:
Installer cannot use current QAM\Pass, please validate connection
I have already upgraded middleware, PASS GUI, and one monitored instance with no issues. -
Resolution
Try copying the password string from the <installDir>/agents/SC_MSSQL/6.0/<host-instance>/quest_sc_collector/config/quest_sc_mw file on another monitored instance (one that is sharing the middleware and the monitored instance has been upgraded successfully from PASS 6.0 to PASS 6.5) to the agents/SC_MSSQL/6.0/<host-instance>/quest_sc_collector/config/quest_sc_mw file on the problem monitored instance, then try to run the 6.5 upgrade again to see if it completes successfully.
