After having updated a computer with Resource Updating Manager, you receive the following errors when editing Scheduled Tasks:
"General Page Initialization failed. The specific error is: 0x8007000d: The data is invalid"
"An error has occurred attempting to retrieve task account information. You may continue editing the task object, but will be unable to change task account information." The example of this error is attached to the current article.
This is due to RUM updating the scheduled task to use an account that no longer exists in the target domain.
If an account is migrated to the target domain, then deleted from the target domain, RUM is unaware of this. It will continue to update resources and point to the deleted object (the same applies for permissions, etc). The correct method is to undo the migration session for this user (rather than deleting) - this will remove the mapping information from ADAM, thus preventing this issue from occuring.
To resolve this problem, re-run RUM against this computer, selecting only "scheduled tasks", and the "revert to original local group, user rights, and object permissions" option. Then manually update the scheduled tasks to the appropriate target account.
