In certain situations, vmover (the RUM agent) may not complete the processing of a computer, "Scheduled Tasks" being the last section to complete successfully. You may see the following message in the logs:
(Informational) Skipped: IIS v2147340288.2147348480 is not supported to process
This is the last entry in the log for this computer. At this point, vmover.exe crashes, and RUM may appear to hang.
Important: sometimes the above message is not seen, and therefore it appears that it is hanging/crashing after processing "Scheduled Tasks", but the problem is actually with IIS processing.
This has been confirmed as a product defect. The problem occurs when IIS is not installed on a computer, and vmover is searching for IIS registry keys. Normally vmover should detect that IIS is not installed, but in some cases it does not. The exact reason for this is still under investigation.
You can work around this issue simply by un-checking the "IIS" option in the RUM interface when processing these machines. It is always recommended to only process objects with Resource Processing that actually exist on the workstations or servers being processed.
This problem is scheduled to be fixed in the next release of QMM.
