We are aware that the FglAM uses 8080 and the Java agent uses 41705 to talk to the FMS, but what ports does the FglAM / Java agent use on the monitored host to do the data collection?
For the FglAM, this does not do the actual monitoring, it is the agents that do the monitoring - so the ports would be at the agent level
For the IC 5.6.2+ Agent, the ports used are up to SSH (Unix/Linux), WinRM, or WMI.
There is a port field for the IC agent properties for Unix/Linux (SSH defaults to port 22, but allows you to change that) but not windows (this is because whatever port you use for WinRM, or WMI on the server is the port the FglAM will use)
For the OS 5.5.4 agents, most of the agents do local monitoring (no port), but if they do remote monitoring the ports they use should be clear from their names: eg: WebMonitor will use http/https ports, SNMP/MIBII use the snmp ports, etc.
Java agents use proprietary protocol over tcp to connect to the FMS (on port 41705). Agents initiate the connection; once the connection is established data flows both ways. The OS (aka tcp stack) assigns a random port for the agent on the monitored host. No other connection exists for java agents
