(-400) error opening manager due to unavailable DAConfiguration log

When you open the Desktop Authority Manager the error "-400 you are not authorized to connect to the selected operation master or connection to the database could not be established" is displayed. An event viewer error may be available on the Sql server.

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: The log for database 'DAConfiguration' is not available. Check the event log for related error messages. Resolve any errors and restart the database.

Desktop Authority is not able to communicate or has lost connection with the DAConfiguration database log, cannot be found or is corrupted.

Reboot the Sql server. If Sql is in use and cannot be rebooted, open the Sql instance with Sql Server Management Studio and attempt to bring the DAConfiguration database offline. Right click on the database | Tasks | Take Offline. If the same error appears when attempting to take database offline, it will have to be detached, then reattached. Right click on the DAConfiguration database and select Task | Detach, place a check in the Drop Connections and select Ok. The same error may appear but will still detach database. Right Databases and select Attach | Add and browse to the DAConfiguration.mdf. Select Ok, then Ok again. Database should now be attached. The database may now be taken offline without errors. After bringing back online, open Desktop Authority Manager.
