Description
We have installed Oracle Performance Analysis (multi-tier). On one of the monitored machines, our db needed to be restored. Upon the restore, we lost our local db quest user and its schema. When we try to re-install the agent, the middleware tier complains, saying that the SID we are trying to monitor is already in the repository. How do we get around this? The database that was restored has 5 nodes (RAC), so we will need to reinstall all 5 agents.

Cause
It is not possible to reinstall on the monitored host without removing the middleware installation

Resolution
Note:Re-Installing will cause loss of short term data
Stop the middleware agents on the middleware server
Delete the <host-sid> directories on the middleware server for each node in the RAC cluster
Delete agents on each node and drop all quest objects from monitored instance, purge flashback
Restart middleware agents
Re-installed agents on each node by running the LSI
