How do i link diagrams from one model into another model and view it in Evolve?
The idea is to put diagram links from one model to another model, and make it work in the published evolve site. Please see below IIS customizations changes which some of our clients use & maintain at their own risk.
Steps:
- Please open IIS Manager.
- Right click on the site and select Add Virtual Directory.
- Type in full address path to the diagram.
- Select Connect as….
- Set username and password for user account with access to the diagram.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
- Click Test settings.
- You will now see the virtual directory listed in you IIS Manager.
- Right click on the directory and select “Manage Virtual Directory” and click Browse.
- Copy the URL.
- Open the diagram you want the link to point to (the target diagram for the link).
- Go to Home and select Copy Diagram Link.
- Open the diagram you want the object link to appear on (the diagram that you are linking from, or the source diagram).
- Go to Home select Object Link....
- Type a name for the link.
- In the Command line box, click Ctrl + V. (The Diagram Link that was copied to the clipboard in step 2 is copied into the field.)
- Open Casewise Suite- Modeler, navigate to your diagram.
- Select the Home tab.
- Under insert, select Object Link.
- Give the object link a name then select browse and navigate to the diagram.
- Change the path to the diagram to match your Virtual directory path.
- Click select and choose a picture for your object link.
- Click OK.
- Click on your diagram where you want the object link to be.
- Open Evolve designer and Publish the site.
- Go to website, navigate to diagram and click the object link it should now open a new webpage with the linked diagram displaying.
