When you attempt to open the Synchronization properties, you receive the error message "File or assembly name ConfigureSynchronization, or one of it's dependencies, was not found". Repairing the installation does not help.
This can happen if QMM 8.0 is installed on a machine, then uninstalled, and a previous version of QMM is installed.
To resolve this issue, please back up your registry, then delete the following registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{79EF1BD6-9517-48A8-B7EF-35C1876A69A9}\InprocServer32\7.1.338.0
Windows Registry:
Quest does not provide support for problems that arise from improper modification of the registry. The Windows registry contains information critical to your computer and applications. Make sure you back up the registry before modifying it.
