Description

Exchange agent unable to start data collection due to SMB Connectivity failure. Below error is logged in agent log:
2017-10-24 14:29:17.790 ERROR [FglAM:RestoreAgent[17]-1] com.quest.agent.service.auth.impl.AbstractCredentialValidator - Error occured when testing the SMB connectivity
jcifs.smb.SmbException: Failed to connect: <EXC_servername>/<IP>
jcifs.util.transport.TransportException
java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
Cause

SMB connectivity issue
Resolution

Please verify on monitored (target) Exchange server:
- SMBv1 is enabled
- port 445 is not blocked or used by some other process
