Compatibility of the console with TLS 1.2 -
Description
The Desktop Authority console does not start due to failures with the Desktop Authority Manager Service.
Reviewing the DAConsole log an error is shown:
"SOAP security negotiation failed. See inner exception for more details. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The client and server cannot communicate, because they do not possess a common algorithm"

Cause
This can be caused by having TLS 1.2 encryption enabled on the SQL instance hosting the DAConfiguration and DAReporting databases. -
Resolution
Workaround: N/A.Status: This issue has been fix in version 11. Please review the information below:Desktop Authority is compatible only with TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 encryption algorithms on versions prior to Desktop Authority version 11.TLS 1.2 encryption compatibility is now supported in version 11 and up.Prior to Desktop Authority version 11.0, TLS 1.0 or 1.1 had to be used. There was no support in the product for TLS 1.2. In DA version 11.0, support was added for TLS version 1.2. -
