Verify The Diagnostic Server Service credentials, and make sure it has access to the instance/host being monitored.
1) Close the Spotlight client.
2)Re-enter the domain user's credentials in the properties of the service (under Control Panel | Services | Quest Diagnostic Server Service | Logon tab | re-type this username/password)
3) Restart the service, and re-open the Spotlight Client and try to connect again.
