The application data path is in the wrong location after silent install. Can the registry be modified to point Toad to the correct path?
Modifying the registry will not help because Toad does not rely on the registry for the info on the App Data Path. It uses the SettingsLocations.ini.
The SettingsLocations.ini is only created at the first launch of Toad in the following default location:
Windows Vista and 7: C:Users\<your_user>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Quest Software
If the path is not in correct location, you can do either of the two suggestions below:
1. Go to View | Toad Options | General and change the path on the right hand side under "Application Data Directory"
2. Look and search for the existing location for the SettingsLocations.ini and rename both the SettingsLocations.ini and the corresponding 11.X folder in the same location to SettingsLocations.ini_OLD and 11.X_OLD. Then re-launching Toad will generate a new file and folder.
