Unable to upgrade on embedded thin clients -
Cause
The prerequisites are not installed, and/or there is not enough disk space on the client. -
Resolution
When upgrading to 9.X the prerequisites of .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 (or greater), Windows Installer 3.1 (or greater) must be installed in addition to the DAClientInstall.msi. The MSI file can be found on your domain controller Netlogon share: \\DC_NAME\Netlogon\DAClientInstall.msi
There must be enough disk space for the installation on the clients. The approximate file size for each program is listed below:
Windows Installer 3.1 = 2.47 MB
.NET Framework 2.0 SP1 = 54 MB
DAClientInstall.msi = 17.3 MB
The embedded thin clients will need to be recreated to install .NET Framework 2.0, Windows Installer 3.1, and the DAClientInstall.msi manually.
