Since upgrading or installing StoragePoint 4.2.x, RIS files fill up the hard drive in the similar file path below:
C:/Users/S-SPFarmAdmin/AppData/Local/IsolatedStorage/vjlotr1p.irn/kcpnnuax.34p/StrongName.2gqgkbxyamo0o1pa053mqvq4l4ww1pjo/AssemFiles -
Cause
User has opted in to the StoragePoint Customer Improvement Program and there may not be any connection to the Metalogix servers. -
Resolution
To stop the RIS files from building up, user can either opt out of the Customer Improvement Program via StoragePoint General Settings or white list *.metalogix.com via user's firewall. If files continue to accumulate after a few minutes, an IISRESET may need to be run on the farm servers.
The RIS files are just telemetry items and can be deleted at any time without worry of adversely affecting the application. No StoragePoint functionality will be affected.
