Is it ok for the external Oracle database SID naming be something other than the default Foglight name? Will it impact late FMS installation if the SID id not foglight?

Resolution
You should be able to use SID names other than the default Foglight name for the external database. When prompted during the FMSinstallation, insert the preexisting desired SID name instead of taking the default foglight SID name. These configurations are ultimately kept in the server.config.xml file located in the Foglight_home/config directory after the installation is complete..
