Description
Getting the error Unable to cast object of type System.DBNull to type System.String when trying to edit a job or simply create a new maintenance plan.

Cause
Permission issue.
The error message suggests that an unexpected null value was encountered while querying the msdb system database.
It is possible that the account that is running LiteSpeed is not able to retrieve information from the msdb database. -
Resolution
Verify Litespeed account permissions and make sure that the logon account meets the minimum requirements.
Try to access jobs in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or Enterprise Manager (EM) when logged in and as the account under which SQL Server Service is running.
Also verify that the account is not locked out.
