Import Table Data input File, Error, "Invalid value for field 'column_name_DATE' -
Description
Input file has 'SYSDATE' as a value rather than actual date.
When importing file using 'Import Table Data' the following error occurs:
"Invalid value for field 'column_name_DATE'. Row #: 1" -
Cause
When using Import Table Data, Toad for Oracle does not make inserts directly.
Toad for Oracle uses a query component that demands literal values only. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Replace 'SYSDATE' with actual date in the input file.
STATUS
Unfortunately, this request is not available in Toad for Oracle.
