This issue may occur when the wireless network card is not placed first in the binding order.
NOTE: This is not an application issue.
To change or verify the binding order:
Right click on My Network Places and click on Properties.
In the toolbar click on Advanced on Advanced Settings.
In the Adapter and Bindings tab, highlight the Wireless Network Connection and use the up arrow to move it to the top of the list.
NOTE: A reboot is necessary for the changes to take effect. It is also suggested to use the Windows Wireless Client as opposed to a third party client.
