In SQL Editor, executing a statement returns query but data grid has a delay to display (4265318)

When I run a simple query, I can see the time executed of the result returned quickly in milliseconds.
However, in SQL editor, it takes Toad for Oracle more than five seconds to display the results of of the data result grid.
If I query the table in the Schema Browser, Toad returns the data grid instantaneously.

The combination of a large SavedSQL.dat and an enabled Toad Option: Write statements to disk prior to execution will cause this scenario.

RESOLUTION #1:
Uncheck the Toad Option, Editor | Code Assist | SQL Recall: Write statements to disk prior to execution.

RESOLUTION #2:
Keep the number in the Toad Option, Editor | Code Assist | SQL Recall: Statements to save, in the hundreds instead of the thousands.
