During a migration you may notice that on the Quest Migration Manager console the following file grows quite large:
\program files\common files\aelita shared\mmc.log
This file tracks the functioning of the services.
Check that debug logging is not turned on:
On the QMM console machine, close the Migration Manager application and open the registry editor. Browse to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Aelita\Migration Tools\CurrentVersion\Components\Workspace
and set the InfoLevel value to -1
MMC.log can be safely erased, unless there are outstanding issues with migration. In case of console-related problems this log may be reqested by technical support for troubleshooting purposes.
When debug logging was disabled and the log file erased, but it still keeps growing at a very fast rate (several megabytes per minute), check the last few lines of the log file.
If it contains repeating lines similar to the following
14.05.2009 12:42:58 AMM::frmAMC::Form_Unload: ERROR: 91 | Description: Object variable or With block variable not set
14.05.2009 12:42:58 AMM::frmAMC::Form_Unload: ERROR: 91 | Description: Object variable or With block variable not set
14.05.2009 12:42:58 AMM::frmAMC::Form_Unload: ERROR: 91 | Description: Object variable or With block variable not set
14.05.2009 12:42:58 AMM::frmAMC::Form_Unload: ERROR: 91 | Description: Object variable or With block variable not set
close Migration Manager and make sure MigrationManager.exe is not running under other users on the same computer. It is not recommended to run several instances of QMM console on one computer, instead consider adding more consoles on different servers.
