What are the minimum recommended memory and CPU requirements for FMS?

Resolution
Our QA tests have established the minimum requirements for running our application. Failure to provide the minimum specs may result in an inability to effective capture data and poor UI performance.
Server and Database, 64-bit PlatformsCPU - 4-way 2.4 GHz CPUs, one of the following:- 1x quad core
- 2x dual core
- 4x single core
RAM - 12 GB in total:- 6 GB for Management Server
- 4 GB for Heap, 2 GB for Java Virtual Machine
- 4 GB for database repository
- 2 GB for operating system
Important: Virtual Servers should be allocated or reserved a fixed minimum amount or RAM; as a configuration where the minimum amount of RAM may be dynamically reduced below the recommended will always contribute to performance issues. Investigate the guest OS directly for amount of allocated RAM and determine if an increase is warranted. Total RAM and CPU used percentage should not constantly exceed 75-80% as scheduled tasks and data management activity will often tax the FMS resources and cause degraded performance.
Note: This is a base recommendation for a small monitoring environment. Over time and with added monitoring types and more active systems, these requirements will need to be reassessed on a regular basis.
