IC agent error: "Value is invalid and will be discarded before it is submitted to the FMS java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: not an acceptable number" -
Description
The following error is found in the Infrastructure Cartridge (IC) Unix agent:

Cause
The host monitored is Linux but the agent type created was UnixAgent instead of DellUnixAgent. DellUnixAgent is meant for Solaris and Linux hosts. -
Resolution
Delete the current UnixAgent and create one by selecting the correct platform (Linux) so that the agent type will be DellUnixAgent.
