Toad launches properly and user can select a database to connect. User attempts to connect to a database as he inputs the database password. At this point Toad hangs and eventually turns the entire window white. Toad crashes after killing the application with the Task Manager. The problem persists after uninstalling and removing all Quest components and reinstalling.
Uninstall and reinstall the Oracle client and confirm that the Oracle client is at least the same version of the connecting DB. Oracle clients can be downloaded from Oracle at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/index.html
User is on Vista Ultimate and is using Oracle 10g client. The Oracle database is 10.2.0. User only has one Oracle Home and it's settings appear to be properly set.
