Intra-forest migration is performed and the option to "reconnect exchange mailbox" is selected. Migration ends with a failed object and errors similar to the following are found in the dsa.log:
15.03.2011 16:17:42 (GMT+01:00) Common AcAdSwitches Error 0xe1000054. Cannot find Exchange Server network name, mailbox store DN: "CN=MBX1-System ,CN=SG1-System,CN=InformationStore,CN=EXCHANGE,CN=Servers,CN=AG1,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=ORG,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=company,DC=com", may be insufficient rights
LDAP error 0x20. No such object (0000208D: NameErr: DSID-0315258B, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match of:
'CN=EXCHANGE,CN=Servers,CN=AG1,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=ORG,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=company,DC=com'
).
In the process of migration the directory synchronization agent tries to retrieve msExchOwningServer attribute of user's Exchange mailbox store, but lacks the required permissions.
Grant the source service account(s) read rights over the "Exchange organization" configuration Partition of Active Directory; this will allow the agent to read the Exchange hierarchy and locate the server that the store belongs to. Alternatively, change the account for the source domain to one that has sufficient permissions to the Exchange org.
This issue will be addressed in future versions of Migration Manager. Target Exchange store properties will be read using account specified for the target domain.
