There are three types of errors that cause the agent to stop processing
1) corrupt registry hive for a profile
2) lack of disk space to update the log file
3) out of memory or out of handles error returned by the system
so a single corrupt registry hive will stop the processing with an error similar to the following:
\\SERVER RoamingProfiles 1009 (Error) The configuration registry database is corrupt. Cannot load hive '\\?\e:\profiles\e1700419\ntuser.dat' into the key HKLM: '$$1226302006$$' (System (local), RegLoadKey).
\\SERVER RoamingProfiles Error 1009 Critical errors limit (1), operation aborted!
There is a parameter in agent .ini file MaxCriticalErrors=1 which controls this behaviour. In order to allow more than one of the above errors, the value has to be increased.
On the RUM console go to registry path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Aelita\Migration Tools\CurrentVersion\Resource Updating Manager
create string value ProcessingMaxCriticalErrors and set it to 5, then restart Quest Resource Updating Manager Controller service
Any newly created processing tasks should have the MaxCtricialErrors set to 5
