During the install of Desktop Authority you may get prompt with a Register.exe.

This behavior occurs because Microsoft uses the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) feature to help prevent damage from viruses and from other security threats.
Add an exception for Desktop Authority in System Properties.
Open Control Panel, click on System and Security → System → Advanced system settings.
In the Advanced tab, click on the Settings button in the Performance section (the first one).
In Performance Options, Data Execution Prevention tab.
Turn on DEP support for all programs and services except those I select:
